About Us
Platypus set a goal to solve the problem of environmental pollution caused by harmful pesticides. Around 4 million ton of pesticides are used worldwide, while 99.9% do not even reach the target pest, are spilled into the environment and cause pollution.
We also tackle a business challenge of the companies who are willing to release new products, but it takes ~12 years and 300m$ to launch one single molecule. Platypus can shorten significantly the development time and relatively - the costs.

What's The Problem You Are Solving?
The main impact problem is Synthetic pesticides polluting the environment, damaging soil, groundwater, human health, and other animals. They are non-selective and exterminate pollinators and good insects.
We are going to solve it with our unique platform with the help of the companies who are already active in the market.
Why these companies will be willing to work with us? Because we solve their problem of long product development time and costs. With our our platform the product RDR time can be reduced from 12 years to 5-9 years and costs cut in half.
What's The Solution?
Platypus has invented the platform that enables the usage of bio-based products in an effective and economical way. These products are not highly used these days since they are volatile and evaporate quickly. Platyform controls the evaporation rate of these actives in a way that doesn't currently exist in the market.

We are looking for collaborate with the established in the market companies in the field of agriculture, home & garden, food supply and post harvest, who are willing to enrich their portfolio with bio-based eco-friendly products efficient for a long period of time.
What We Would Tell Investors
Till now we are bootstrapped and we have only received some funds from Israeli Innovation Authority for R&D (Tnufa).
As of today we are in the stage of field trials with a few potential partners. Once we have some field results - we will be ready for SEED Funding.
